Project was photographed with Blackberry camera and project commenced prior to inception of Engage.
This project came to us through a local remediation company. This project resulted in a complete rebuild of the space due to extent of water seepage.
The initiating activity that caused this damage was a bad solder joint in the plumbing within the soffit. The water permeated the drywall & extended under a large portion of the engineered flooring.
During the planning stages of the reconstruct we talked with the client & discussed the option of building additional value of the home. We presented a proposal to add an additional 15' x 20' bedroom within this space. The HVAC system was configured where we could comfortably section off this portion of the basement. There was also a legal egress window in the location of the bedroom.
We also had to remove the entire engineered floor in the entire downstairs level due to curling & damage to the existing floor.
We reconstructed this space and added in a dinette area that also increased the value & comfort of the space.
We repainted much of the basement walls and ensured that we had an acceptable match to walls that were not in need or justifiable to repaint.
We repainted the walls with a very comfortable deep khaki color with a soft white flat ceiling paint to compliment the natural wood tones within the space.
